IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES RIGHTS TO DANNY DEVITO COMEDY “HOUSEBROKEN”

CHATSWORTH, Calif., Dec. 14, 2009 – Image Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: DISK), a leading independent licensee and distributor of entertainment programming in North America, announced today that it is has acquired the rights to the latest Danny DeVito starrer “Housebroken,” due to be released on DVD and Blu-ray March 30.

Image has secured all North American rights to the film, including theatrical, broadcast, home entertainment, digital, non-theatrical and video-on-demand, from Capacity Distribution LLC through Epic Pictures Group which acted as the sales agent for the transaction. 

With its irresistible combination of out-of-control antics, raunchy humor and sexy shenanigans, “Housebroken” rocks the house with nonstop laughter! Dad (Danny DeVito, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) has finally retired, and wants his recreation room back. One problem: two twenty-something sons who have no intention of leaving the cushy couch.  So Dad and Mom (Katey Sagal, “Married with Children”) move out. It’s either sink or swim for clueless Elliot (Ryan Hansen, TV’s “Party Down”) and Quinn (Skyler Stone, “Van Wilder”), whose plans to pay the bills backfire hilariously.
